Link QR code

Type the address and the code builds on screen, in real time. Add your colors, your logo and a call-to-action frame, then download as SVG for print, PNG for screens or an A4 PDF. Everything runs in your browser.

How it works

Three steps, nothing to install.

Everything runs on your own computer, start to finish.

1

Paste the address

With or without https:// in front: if it is missing, it is added. Addresses that are not web pages (scripts, odd schemes) are refused, so your code never sends anyone somewhere hostile.

2

Make it yours

Brand colors, a draggable logo in the middle of the code, rounded corners or dots, and a banner with any text you like, from Scan me to See the menu.

3

Download and test

SVG, PNG or PDF. Before sending it to print, point your phone camera at the screen: if it opens on yours, it opens on nearly all.

A short URL reads from further away

The more characters, the smaller the squares, and the closer the camera has to be to resolve them. For posters and shop windows, use the shortest address you have: the bare domain beats a campaign link with ten parameters.

Contrast is half the scan

Cameras read dark on light. If you pick brand colors, the generator measures the contrast and warns you when the pair risks failing in common readers. The warning blocks nothing: the code is yours, and so is the call.

The logo has limits, and the generator enforces them

The code is generated at the highest error-correction level, which tolerates up to 30% of covered area. The generator will not let the logo cover the three position corners: you can drag it anywhere except over what makes the code readable.

Nothing you type leaves your browser. The code is drawn on your computer, is not sent to any server, and is not stored anywhere after you close the page.
Limits, stated upfront

It does not shorten the address

The code encodes the URL exactly as you type it. If your link is long, shorten it first in a URL shortener and paste the result here. The code comes out cleaner and reads from further away.

It does not count scans

This is a static code: the address lives inside the code itself, and nobody sits in the middle counting who read it. That is what makes it private and permanent, and it is also why there are no statistics. If you need to measure, use a link with campaign parameters and measure at the destination.

It does not change after printing

For the same reason: the address is on the paper, not on a server of ours. If the link changes, the printed code stops working. For content that changes, point the code at a page of yours that redirects.

Questions

Questions about the link QR.

Does the code expire?

No. The address lives inside the code, with no server in between, so it works for as long as the destination link exists. There is no renewal, no monthly fee and no account to keep it alive.

Which format do I send to the print shop?

SVG. It is vector: it scales to any size without losing a pixel. PNG is for screens and documents; the PDF comes out on A4, ready to put up.

Can I add a logo without breaking the scan?

Yes, and the generator protects you: error correction is at maximum and the position corners stay out of the logo's reach. Even so, test with your camera before printing, especially if the logo exceeds a fifth of the width.

How much does it cost?

The first download each day is free in every tool, no account needed. After that, each code costs 1 EUR as a one-off purchase: you pay for that code and there is no monthly fee.

A link to share?
Put it in a code.

Open the generator and paste the address. Nothing to install, nothing sent anywhere.
